Minsk National Airport Reviews 2017
Minsk National Airport serves the city of Minsk in Belarus: the country’s main international airport. The airport was formerly known as “Minsk-2” upon the building of a new airport in 1977. According to Minsk National Airport reviews, MSQ was originally designed for a capacity of 5 million passengers annually. Now, it is known for its single passenger terminal and “unique” design.
A fall in passenger count throughout the turn of the century didn’t deter them from handling 1 million passengers in 2008.
Reviews – What People Are Saying
Based on 3 Minsk National Airport reviews, the airport was rated 7 out of 10 stars. One of these Minsk National Airport reviews said “The terminal is very clean. Arrival was also smooth and passport control was quick. Security was reasonably fast as it was passport control. Gates (as the lounge at the upper floor) have not been renovated, thus still look a bit obsolete. there are few shops (with prices in Euros) and few bars for the last cuppa before flying off. there are not many seats by the gate, meaning that it might be difficult to find a seat if two flights are departing simultaneously from two adjacent gates. Overall a good airport.”
“Food and shopping options seem standard for the airport of this size, there is a duty-free shop, a souvenir shop, fast food restaurant and a few cafeterias. The only problem is that I haven’t seen any money exchange offices. Airport staff are very professional and efficient. When it comes to wi-fi there is a 15 minute free connection, however one can buy a very cheap wi-fi service for several days which also works in the city. The main downside of the airport is the fact that it is so far away from the city and that there are no low cost options,” writes one of the Minsk National Airport reviews about a passenger’s experience with Minsk National Airport’s amenities and establishments.
Where there is a Duty Free, there are also the following dining choices: Lainer Restaurant, Café-bistro Chomolungma, Bar Aero, Bar Meridian, Bar Lebed, and Bar Polet.
Minsk National Airport is located 42 km east of the capital city Minsk in the Republic of Belarus, in the Smalyavichy Raion territory but administratively under Minsk’s Kastrychnitski District. It can be reached using the motorway M2, connecting northwest towards M11.
